Rich Moffett has been a court reporter since 1978 in New York Family Court and worked in the New York State court system for 45 years. For the first ten years as an Official Court Reporter, he worked in New York Family Court, New York Criminal Court, New York Supreme Court, and Nassau County Family Court.

 

In 1989, Rich transferred to Nassau County District Court, where he worked for 23 years responding to numerous requests for transcripts, often the following day, archiving stenographic notes and transcripts, and keeping diligent records.
Attention to detail was paramount in preparing transcripts for judges, attorneys, and litigants alike. Transcript formatting, accuracy, timeliness, billing, confidentiality, neutrality, and professionalism were important aspects that were attended to and have been ingrained ever since.​

Following his retirement in January 2012, Rich established Rich Moffett Court Reporting, Inc., where he continues to uphold excellence in the field, employing highly skilled and experienced court reporters known for their professionalism and meticulous attention to detail.

Throughout our existence, we have continuously expanded our service coverage, handling assignments throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as providing virtual services to clients across New York State.
